The Stash is the new solution, revolutionizing consignment for the modern woman through the creation of a personalized shopping experience. Élan Barish has bridged the gap between luxury and affordability, allowing all fashion conscious women the means to shop designer and couture.
The Stash edits women’s closets and then provides them a return on past retail investments. Additionally, it allows modern day fashionistas an under-the-radar shopping for new and pre-loved luxury labels starting at 75% off current retail prices. Élan works with the consignor, to edit their well-heeled closets, cart it away and put on a sale party. And, for buyers, or recessionista fashionistas, it is a fun and responsible way to get their fix regardless of the current economic situation.
Unlike classic consignment scenarios, The Stash personalizes the process–From “The Sort” to “The Shop” and allows women to shop privately at home – or in the company of friends during the exclusive Stash Parties. “Part cocktail event, part traveling designer boutique,” the exclusive Stash Parties bring women together for the ultimate girl’s night with shopping, fun and female bonding.
After 10-years in television commercial production Élan used her Columbia University degree to fill the gap she saw in the marketplace founding The Stash. She currently resides in Manhattan with her husband, Jeff Barish, Ad Director at Portfolio Magazine, and their two children.
