Convivio restaurant gives back to City Meals-on-Wheels and EVERYONE eats we
On Christmas Eve, Convivio restaurant will celebrate the spirit of the holiday season by donating a portion of their sales to Citymeals-on-Wheels. Owner Chris Cannon and Chef Michael White plan to contribute 10% of sales from that night to the charity, and hope to raise enough to deliver more than 900 nutritious meals to homebound, aged New Yorkers.
This rustic Southern Italian restaurant located in Tudor City has received much acclaim since opening in July 2008:
- three stars from The New York Times
- rave reviews from New York magazine and Time Out New York
- included in Esquire's Best New Restaurants 2008 list.
Convivio will offer their regular $59 prix fixe menu on Christmas Eve from 5:30-10:30 pm, as well as a special five-course seafood tasting menu for $79, featuring dishes such as Dentice alla Griglia (Red Grilled Snapper with Lemon, Wild Oregano, Red Peppers and Castelvetrano Olives) and Warm Seafood Salad with Lemon and Olive Oil.
Mangia– it's a delicious way to give back during the holidays.
