Irena’s Vow
A Show We Vow You'll Love

I'm in the mood to go to the theater. Which Broadway show could tempt me to buy tickets?

If what you want is great theater, look no further than Irena's Vow. Irena's Vow is one woman's courageous choice that will inspire you to believe in humanity.

This uplifting drama follows Catholic-born Irena Gut as she becomes the housekeeper to a German army major and hides 12 Jews in the basement of his villa in Nazi-occupied Poland. Far from grim, the absurdity of the characters' circumstances keeps the humor sharp and the audience laughing. And Tovah Feldshuh shines as Irena in a deeply nuanced and moving performance.

Once the standing ovations are over and the house lights come up, the cast will field questions from the audience about Irena's experiences.

With its simple yet dramatic plot, humor and short running time (90 minutes, no intermission), Irena's Vow is also a wonderful play for children 13 and older. Its lessons, however, are universal.
