BESPOKE CHOCOLATES
When Melissa craved fresh, exotic chocolates she ended up on the steps of the recently opened Bespoke Chocolates. Rachel Insler, chocolatier and co-owner of Bespoke Chocolates, delivers happiness to chocolate lovers with her custom made to order chocolates.
Stop by Bespoke Chocolates and savor a super-sweet French milk chocolate, a Venezuelan dark chocolate cognac truffle, a Caribbean chocolate truffle with hints of apricot-tea, an orange-infused dark chocolate made with beans from Madagascar, or escape with a white chocolate filled with real passionfruit.
Rachel won us over with her Sea-Salted Caramels. The chocolate shell is covered with crunchy pretzels and filled with creamy caramel, ultimately the perfect balance of sweet and salty.
This best-kept secret chocolate shop is tucked away in a small alley in the East Village.

SALON TEA
Tea Salons have gotten a facelift with help from Tracy Stern. The recently opened SalonTea TeaBar on the Upper East Side is decked out with a disco ball, hot pink ceiling, and orange walls. Tracy Stern SalonTea is available in stores worldwide, but Manhattan was lucky enough to be home to the first store of the national franchise.
Leave it to these experts to plan a tea party fit for the Mad-Hatter himself, or maybe just your little princess. The Marie Antoinette "Let them Eat Cake" tea party comes with a pot of tea, madeleines, tea sandwiches, and a hostess dressed in 17th century attire. The fun doesn't stop there, guests can decorate their own tea-cup shaped cake (this will keep the little ones entertained for hours).
Looking for a fresh idea for a bachelorette party? Set a tea time at SalonTea for their Studio54 tea party. Guests can sip silver tea beneath the disco ball.
Plus, Tracy just completed her new book, Tea for You -- it is the ultimate guide to custom blending teas. Tracy breaks down the many profiles and flavors of tea, teaches you how to balance smoky Earl Grey tea with floral chamomile and create a medley of lavender and rose with flavored white tea. Learn more about how tea can improve your health by pre-ordering Tracy's book today.

SWEETIEPIE RESTAURANT
Imagine Alice-in-Wonderland, add a full bar of hard alcohol and you have Sweetiepie. Sweetiepie is a fairy-tale come to life with its pink marble floors, mirrored walls and ceilings....and a golden life-sized birdcage that you can dine in! Julie Janklow, the owner, has been working on this "magical place" for almost two years, under the guidance of Mario Batelli. No doubt, this is the kind of place kids will want to take their parents and beg to have their birthday party (in one of the two rooms). The kid-friendly menu includes comfort foods such as mac and cheese, waffles, and burgers. Finish off your meal with the $75 "Sweetiepig," a heaping ice cream sundae for six people you could only have dreamed about as a child.
