The Untraditional Workout that Works - The Bohlin Method
I've untapped the best-kept secret in NYC. I'm so excited about my new fitness find that I'm almost hesitant to share it with you. However, being the wonderful, caring "go to" guru that I am…here goes. Chris Bohlin teaches something called the Bohlin Method, otherwise referred to as "The Protocol." Each 60-minute session incorporates Indira Gandhi's thought process of "being still in the midst of activity." Sessions can be done in the park, at your home or wherever you can find the time and space to twist, turn, balance and bend. While not a believer in the treadmill, the bar or sweating in Bikram, Chris focuses on posture and balance and, might I add, gets your body into some pretty compromising positions. Not only has my body changed (read: tightened, toned, elongated), my mindset is calm and positive (like I've popped a xanax) and my skin has even reaped the benefits (I sweat so much I'm actually glowing).
So if this doesn't have your fingers scrambling to add Chris to your speed dial then I don't know what will.
